Regular inspection of the motor on the wire rope electric hoist (also known as the electric hoist) is an important measure to ensure its normal operation and ensure safety. Here are some key points and methods for motor testing:
1、 Motor appearance and connection inspection
Appearance inspection:
Observe whether the motor casing is damaged, deformed, or corroded.
Check if the motor junction box, cables, and other connecting parts are securely fastened without any looseness or detachment.
Inspection of connecting bolts:
Use torque wrenches and other tools to check if the connecting bolts between the motor and the hoist or other equipment have reached the specified tightening torque, ensuring a secure connection.
2、 Electrical performance testing
Insulation resistance test:
Use a megohmmeter to measure the insulation resistance between the motor winding and the casing, ensuring that its value is not lower than the specified standard (generally greater than 0.5M Ω).
During testing, all external connections of the motor should be disconnected to ensure the accuracy of the test.
Voltage and current detection:
When the motor is running, use a voltmeter and an ammeter to measure the input voltage and current of the motor respectively, ensuring that their values are within the normal range.
Pay attention to the voltage and current changes of the motor during the starting, running, and stopping processes to determine if there are any abnormalities in the motor.
Temperature rise detection:
Use an infrared thermometer or thermometer to measure the temperature of the motor casing and winding, ensuring that the temperature rise does not exceed the specified value (generally not exceeding 40 ℃ of the ambient temperature).
Excessive temperature rise may indicate motor overload, poor heat dissipation, or insulation aging issues.
3、 Mechanical performance testing
Bearing inspection:
Check the lubrication condition of the motor bearings and add or replace lubricating oil if necessary.
Observe whether there are any abnormal sounds, vibrations, or overheating phenomena in the bearings, and if so, replace the bearings in a timely manner.
Inspection of rotor and stator:
Check for wear, deformation, or cracks in the motor rotor and stator.
Observe whether the air gap between the rotor and stator is uniform to ensure the smooth operation of the motor.
4、 Operation test
No load operation test:
Start the motor under no-load conditions and observe whether it runs smoothly, without any abnormal noise or vibration.
Check whether the parameters such as starting time, braking time, and speed of the motor meet the requirements.
Load operation test:
Run the motor at rated load and observe its operating status and performance.
Monitor the current, voltage, and temperature rise parameters of the motor to ensure that they are within the normal range.
5、 Inspection of safety protection devices
Overload protection device:
Check whether the overload protection device of the motor is sensitive and reliable, and whether it can cut off the power supply in a timely manner when the motor is overloaded.
