As an industrial weighing equipment, the common faults of electronic hanging scales can be summarized into the following six categories. Based on the analysis of the causes and solutions, we will systematically sort them out for you:
1、 Sensor malfunction (core component issue)
zero drift
Reason: Poor foundation (due to temperature difference), poor grounding (resistance>4 Ω), or sensor aging.
Phenomenon: The displayed value fluctuates when the scale is empty, and there is a large error after loading.
Solution: Re calibrate the zero point, check the sensor connection wire and grounding, and replace the damaged sensor.
Large weight error displayed
Reason: foreign object stuck in the scale body, sensor displacement, broken signal cable, or damaged instrument circuit.
Phenomenon: The deviation between the displayed value and the actual weight after loading exceeds the allowable range.
Solution: Clean up foreign objects on the scale body, check the position of the sensor and cable, and perform a partial load test.
Unstable output signal
Reason: Loose signal wire, moisture in junction box, decreased insulation of sensor.
Phenomenon: Difficulty in displaying fluctuating values or resetting to zero.
Solution: Check the wiring and re weld it, clean the moisture in the junction box, and replace the damp sensor.
2、 Power supply issue (power supply and battery failure)
Unable to power on
Reason: Damaged power cord, blown fuse, or battery voltage<5.5V.
Phenomenon: There is no response when pressing the power button.
Solution: Replace the power cord/fuse, charge or replace the battery (voltage should be greater than 6V).
Abnormal charging
Reason: charger voltage mismatch or battery aging.
Phenomenon: The battery quickly runs out after charging.
Solution: Use the original charger and replace it with a battery of the same model.
3、 Display screen error (display and connection issues)
no display
Reason: The power supply is not connected, the display screen is damaged, or the CPU pins are oxidized.
Phenomenon: The screen is black or white.
Solution: Check the power connection, replace the display screen or repair the CPU pins.
Digital Jump
Reason: Loose sensor wiring, moisture on the display screen, or electromagnetic interference.
Phenomenon: The displayed value fluctuates frequently.
Solution: Tighten the sensor cable, dry the display screen, and shield the interference source.
4、 Calibration issues (accuracy and setting errors)
Inaccurate weighing
Reason: Inconsistent sensor output or incorrect calibration parameters.
Phenomenon: There is a large deviation in multiple measurements.
Solution: Adjust the sensor output resistance and perform full-scale calibration again.
Cannot reset to zero
Reason: Residual weight on the scale body or sensor malfunction.
Phenomenon: When the scale is empty, it displays a non-zero value.
Solution: Clean the scale body and perform manual zeroing or calibration.
5、 Mechanical component damage (physical damage)
Deformation of the scale body
Reason: Structural deformation caused by long-term overloading or collision.
Phenomenon: The scale body is shaking or stuck.
Solution: Repair or replace deformed parts.
Limit device failure
Reason: Loose bolts or worn components.
Phenomenon: Restricted movement or abnormal noise of the scale body.

Printing malfunction
Reason: Printer damage, ribbon depletion, or incorrect settings.

Reason: Serial port baud rate error or poor line connection.
