The safety operating procedures for double girder cranes are an important guarantee for ensuring the safety and smooth progress of lifting operations. Here is a detailed set of safety operating procedures:
1、 General Provisions
Operators must learn and comply with this regulation, receive specialized training, and hold relevant operation certificates before they can operate on duty.
The supervisory department should strengthen the safety management of double beam cranes to ensure that operators comply with regulations.
2、 Daily inspection and maintenance
Conduct daily crane inspections to ensure that all components of the crane are intact and undamaged, especially whether the active and passive safety protection devices are sensitive and reliable.
Check whether the power supply and electrical equipment are operating normally, and whether the switches and buttons are flexible and reliable.
Check the integrity of components such as wire rope, clutch, brake, safety ratchet, and transmission pulley.
Confirm whether the working environment of the crane is safe, such as whether the floor, ground, etc. are solid and flat.
3、 Preparation before operation
Operators should wear work clothes that meet safety standards and wear necessary protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, goggles, etc.
Operators should be familiar with the structure, working principle, and operating procedures of the crane.
Operators should undergo a physical examination to ensure good mental state and should not operate under conditions such as fatigue, alcohol consumption, or drug influence.
Before operation, the available load of the hook and lifting equipment should be confirmed, and the number and diameter of the lifting ropes should be reasonably determined based on the actual working conditions.
4、 Operating standards
Strictly follow the crane operation manual and command signals for operation.
Operators should keep in mind the limitations on horizontal and lateral forces when crossing beams, and should not exceed the prescribed limits.
During lifting operations, it is strictly prohibited to stand under the lifting object or boom, and no one is allowed to cross the wire rope of the winch. The wire rope must not be dragged smoothly.
Overloading operations are strictly prohibited, and lifting operations must be carried out in accordance with the prescribed load capacity and limit range.
When lifting objects, it is necessary to ensure that the load of the crane runs smoothly, and dangerous actions such as rapid start stop and sudden braking are prohibited.
Lifting objects should be carried out at a uniform speed, and sudden braking and direction changes are prohibited. When translating, the object should be at least 0.5 meters above the obstacle, and when falling, it should be placed at a low speed and gently to prevent tipping.
When personnel enter the prohibited area during crane operation, the crane operation should be immediately stopped to ensure the safety of personnel.
During the lifting process, it is not allowed to operate three mechanisms simultaneously (i.e. the crane, trolley, and winch cannot operate simultaneously).
It is strictly prohibited to use limit switches for power outages under normal operation. Limit switches should only be activated when the operating equipment is accidentally faulty or the driver is negligent in operation.
It is strictly prohibited to use lifting equipment to lift heavy objects diagonally, and it is also strictly prohibited to use cranes to pull heavy objects underground.
5、 Emergency situation handling
In emergency situations, operators should immediately cut off the power and stop the operation of the crane to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
In case of emergency situations such as power outages, the circuit breaker should be immediately disconnected and the transported items should be put down.
After handling emergency situations, operators should conduct corresponding post incident reports to eliminate potential hazards.
6、 After the operation is completed
After the operation is completed, the crane should be parked in a fixed parking location, and the lifting equipment should not suspend objects. Each control handle should be placed in the zero position, and the main switch or ground operation power supply should be cut off.
Perform daily inspections and maintenance on the crane, including ensuring that all components are functioning properly and that the lubricating oil is sufficient.
Keep the remote control properly and ensure that it is turned off to prevent accidental triggering of the crane.
7、 Other precautions
When getting on and off the car, use a ladder platform. Do not climb from one car to another, and do not walk along the track (except for maintenance, which should be protected during maintenance).
No moving objects or other items are allowed to be stacked on the vehicle, and tools should be secured.
Two cranes on the same track are not allowed to push and collide with each other.
Do not cut off the main power supply, hang warning signs, or do not do a good job of monitoring before stopping crane maintenance or inspection.
Carefully fill in the handover record of the double beam crane, especially explaining the unsafe factors clearly.
