1、 Surface coating and rust prevention treatment

Coating protection:

Coating material: Anti corrosion coating materials such as epoxy resin and zinc steel are used to form a protective film on the surface of the steel wire rope by spraying or hot-dip coating, in order to isolate the external environment and prevent oxidation and corrosion. The coating should be uniform, bubble free, and of consistent thickness to avoid problems such as coating damage and detachment.

Galvanizing treatment: Galvanizing the steel wire rope can effectively prevent direct contact between the steel wire rope and oxygen and moisture in the air, thereby reducing the occurrence of corrosion.

Rust prevention lubrication:

Apply rust proof lubricating oil on the surface of the steel wire rope to keep it moist and reduce contact with oxygen in the air, thereby preventing oxidation and corrosion. Environmental control:

Install the electric hoist in a dry and well ventilated environment as much as possible, avoiding prolonged exposure to damp, dusty, or high concentrations of corrosive gases.

Electric hoists used outdoors should be equipped with protective measures such as rain covers to reduce the erosion of equipment by rainwater, fog, etc.

Regular inspection and maintenance:

Regularly inspect the electric hoist to promptly identify and address corrosion issues. The inspection includes but is not limited to the wear of the steel wire rope, the integrity of the coating, and the fastening of each component.

3、 Other precautions

Use appropriate rust inhibitor:

When selecting rust inhibitors, it should be ensured that they can fully contact the surface of the steel wire rope and remain effective for a long time. Meanwhile, rust inhibitors should be easy to apply and not easily volatile.

Avoid mechanical damage:

During use, avoid friction and collision between the steel wire rope and sharp or hard objects to prevent damage to its surface coating or wire breakage.

Training operators:

Train operators on the anti-corrosion knowledge, operating procedures, and maintenance methods of electric hoists to reduce corrosion problems caused by improper operation.
