The correct wiring method for electric hoists is as follows:

1. Use a multimeter to measure the side resistance of the three wires coming out of the electric hoist motor, one of which is a common wire and the other two are the incoming wires of the winding. If the main and auxiliary windings are not separated, the resistance of the two incoming windings and the common terminal wire is the same. If the main and auxiliary windings are separated, the resistance of the main winding and the common terminal should be greater than that of the auxiliary winding and the common terminal.

3. According to the number of wires in the electric hoist motor, if the main and auxiliary windings are divided and it is required to be in forward and reverse directions, the number of wires coming out of the motor should be at least 4. If it is 3, it can be determined that the main and auxiliary windings are not divided.
