The lifting chain is an essential and important lifting device for cranes, which can adjust the length of the chain according to the lifting height of the lifting object. It plays an important role in improving the efficiency of crane operation and expanding the scope of crane operation.
The lifting chain is one of the important components of the pneumatic hoist, but the adjustment of the chain is directly related to the use of the pneumatic hoist. Below, we will conduct a specific analysis and explanation.
1: Elastic adjustment
1. Chain too tight
The chain adjustment of pneumatic and electric hoists is too tight, and the bearings are prone to wear and tear, which increases the power loss of the pneumatic hoist and reduces the stability performance of the pneumatic hoist. Users can also struggle during use, and the chain is prone to fracture, affecting normal use.
2. Chain too loose
If the chain of the pneumatic hoist is adjusted too loosely, it is easy for the chain to detach during the operation, which prevents smooth operation and affects normal use. The tightness of the lifting chain should be appropriate. If it is too tight, it will increase power consumption and make the bearings susceptible to wear and tear; Loose chains are prone to jumping and detachment. The degree of tightness of the chain is: lift or press down from the middle of the chain, with a spacing of approximately 2% -3% between the two sprockets.
The above two points are the adjustment matters for the pneumatic hoist chain. The tension adjustment of the chain should be appropriate, not too tight or too loose. Too tight will increase power loss, and too loose will cause decoupling. Only with appropriate tension can the pneumatic hoist operate normally, improve work efficiency, increase stability, and complete the operation smoothly.
2: Abnormal sound adjustment during use of the chain
1. There may be no oil on the load chain of the pneumatic hoist;
Solution: lubricate the load chain.
2. Wear or corrosion of the load chain;
Solution: Determine the critical wear state of the pneumatic hoist load chain and lubricate it regularly as needed.
3. Sprocket wear;
Solution: Replace the worn sprocket.
4. The pneumatic hoist is not in line with the heavy object;
Solution: Pneumatic hoists are not allowed to "pull/drag" on the side.
5. Installation issues with load chains;
Solution: Check if the pneumatic hoist load chain is installed correctly.
